In some very exciting news, we are delighted to announce that multi-award-winning cake designer, published author and super-talented ‘sugar florist’ Natalie Porter of ‘Immaculate Confections’ will be returning to the Cake School for another fabulous afternoon class.

In this standalone sugar flower-making class, we will be creating a stunning posy of Sugar Sweet Peas & Cosmos.

Natalie’s Sugar Sweet Peas & Cosmos class is the perfect introduction to all sorts of new cake decorating skills, ideal for cake decorators who are ready to move on to some fresh challenges. Many of the skills are infinitely adaptable too, meaning you’ll be able to draw on them for all sorts of designs in the future.

This face-to-face class is on Sunday 8th March, from 1pm – 6pm. Please note classes may sometimes run over, so do consider this when making travel arrangements.

I am delighted to announce that Natalie Porter of ‘Immaculate Confections‘ has agreed to return to the Cake School for another super special sugar flower-making class.

In her Sugar Sweet Peas & Cosmos class, Natalie will introduce you to a whole variety of sugar flower-making skills that you can then take home and use on your future cake decorating projects.

In this beginner-friendly, face-to-face sugar flower making class, you will learn:

– How to work with flowerpaste, including how to prepare it and how to use gel-based food colourings to add colour.

– How to use a variety of tools to shape and form delicate petals and leaves.

– How to use powder food colouring to enhance your petals and leaves, adding depth and realism.

– How to assemble the petals together to create these beautiful flowers, resulting in a stunning posy.

Everything you need to create your Sugar Sweet Peas & Cosmos will be provided for you on the day and you will also receive a handy instruction pack, including all of the advice and tips you will need to recreate your flowers again at home.

 

The class will be held at my dedicated Cooking, Baking and Cake Decorating Academy in the picturesque town of Fareham, Hampshire, conveniently located between Southampton and Portsmouth. Limited parking is available on site however, this will be offered on a first come first served basis.

You will be able to ask questions throughout the class, so you may wish to bring a notepad and pen with you to take notes.

Mr Baker’s Cake School is located in the Kiln Acre Business Centre in the town of Fareham, close to the M27 motorway. If driving to your class, exit at junction 11 towards Fareham Central. At the roundabout, take the exit onto the A27 towards Fareham before bearing left towards Portchester, Wickham and Fareham Town Centre. At the Delme Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Wallington Way before crossing the roundabout (first exit) outside Sainsbury’s. At the Wickham Road Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Wickham Road and the Kiln Acre Business Centre will be on your left in around 500yds.
