I am delighted to announce that Emily Hankins of ‘Emily Hankins Cakes‘ has agreed to visit the Cake School for a super special one-day cake decorating class.

In her Cocoa Butter Painted Cake class, Emily will introduce you to a whole variety of new cake decorating skills that you can then take home and use on your future cake decorating projects.

In this beginner-friendly, face-to-face cake decorating class, you will learn:

– How to use powder food colourings and cocoa butter to create a completely edible paint.

– How to use your paint and a selection of paintbrushes to paint beautiful poppies, enhanced with a variety of other flowers and foliage to create a beautiful hedgerow design.

– How to use colour to add depth, detail and shading to your design.

– How to bring all of these elements together to create a truly showstopping cake!

– You do not need to be a proficient artist to take this class – guides and templates will be provided!

PLEASE NOTE: You will be decorating a polystyrene ‘dummy’ cake covered in icing and not a real cake.

 

 

Everything you need to create your Cocoa Butter Painted Cake will be provided for you on the day and you will also receive a handy instruction pack, including all of the advice and tips you will need to recreate your cake again at home. As this class will last a full day, you will need to bring a packed lunch, however simple refreshments will be available throughout the day, so please ensure you let us know about any specific dietary requirements when booking to ensure these can be catered for.

The class will be held at my dedicated Cooking, Baking and Cake Decorating Academy in the picturesque town of Fareham, Hampshire, conveniently located between Southampton and Portsmouth. Limited parking is available on site however, this will be offered on a first come first served basis.

You will be able to ask questions throughout the class, so you may wish to bring a notepad and pen with you to take notes.

Mr Baker’s Cake School is located in the Kiln Acre Business Centre in the town of Fareham, close to the M27 motorway. If driving to your class, exit at junction 11 towards Fareham Central. At the roundabout, take the exit onto the A27 towards Fareham before bearing left towards Portchester, Wickham and Fareham Town Centre. At the Delme Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Wallington Way before crossing the roundabout (first exit) outside Sainsbury’s. At the Wickham Road Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Wickham Road and the Kiln Acre Business Centre will be on your left in around 500yds.
